About Bites & Brews Without Borders

Bites & Brews Without Borders originally started as a beer import and distribution business. We began by bringing Engkanto Brewery from the Philippines to the U.S., introducing Filipino craft beer to customers through restaurants, bars, festivals, and events.

Over the years, the business gave us the opportunity to work and collaborate with some great chefs, restaurants, and brands, including Chef Alvin Cailan of Amboy, Chef Barb Batiste of B Sweet, Chef Johneric Concordia of The Park's Finest, Chef Josh Espinosa of Sampa, Rocky from Truffle Boys, Girls Club, Chef Brian Ayala of Frank & Franks, and many others.

After doing events for several years, we kept getting asked the same thing:

"Do you guys have food?"

That eventually gave us the idea to expand beyond beer. We wanted to offer the type of snacks you'd naturally have with a drink, botanas in Mexican culture and pulutan in Filipino culture.

That led us to partner with brands like Saint Michael Chicharones, Jenny Food's Salsa Macha and Mole, and Fiesta Candy Snack Chamoy Candies.

Today, Bites & Brews Without Borders offers a growing selection of Filipino and Mexican snacks and specialty foods, including Filipino style chicharrones, salsa macha, Mexican mole, chamoy candy, japanese style peanuts, and other products we've discovered through the communities and events we've been part of.

The business has changed from where we started, but the idea behind it is pretty simple: find good products, work with good people, and make those products easier for more people to discover.

You can find us online and at pop-ups and events throughout Southern California.
